MY LITTLE ANGEL
Some albums are simply recorded for pleasure, and
some actually let that pleasure shine through. So
it is with expatriate Tamworth singer NANCY-LEE.
Her voice is light and refreshing and
doesnt try to overwhelm the music with
forced intensity.
Producer Steve Sparrow should be commended on his
delicate touch.
The title track, My Little Angel, is a tragic
story of the loss of a child, yet despite its
heartbreaking message, it is done with tenderness
and sensitivity.
Cover tracks, Blue Kentucky Girl, Ill Bet
My Heart On You, Loving You, One Good Reason,
Among My Souvenirs and Old Hands (with Allen
Mcmonagle) are unassuming, yet subtly
tantalising.
Light In A Dark Tunnel and Tell Our Children are
graceful tracks of simple religious conviction.
My Little Angel is fifteen tracks of gentle and
easy music, recorded with seemingly effortless
simplicity. It probably wont be a record
breaker, but it sure sounds nice.
